FOOT PROBLEMS

Modern day Podiatry deals with more than corns, callus and nail cutting. Whilst we provide these services to many who are unable to attend to their own feet, we also provide other services. These include diabetic assessments and education, fungal skin and nail advice and treatments, Verrucae (wart) treatments, nail surgery for chronic/acute ingrown toe nails, as well as children’s and adult foot assessments.

Biomechanical or foot assessments are often required when injuries, pain and/or postural problems occur. Many people don't realise that knee, hip, back or ankle pain or soreness may be due to the way we walk or from poor foot posture. Podiatrists are experts in assessing and solving these problems. Flat feet often need extra support in the way of foot orthoses (arch supports) and supportive shoes. Tight muscles require stretching exercises. We are often providing footwear assessments, advice and education.
